i am not deep into hawkwind, so i can not compare it to other outputs of the band.
i was in a concert of the alien tour, 1995, where i bought the cd and a live bootleg vinyl.
the gig was amazing and intense, pulsating and psychedelic. i can remember the charismatic singer and was blown away by the band.
it is always interesting to grab a cd/vinyl which has not been used for years....yesterday i listen to this album again....and again...and again. i had almost forgot it....
i love this concept album, which mixes progressive, psychedelic music with a sometimes little punky attitude, some songs have heavy riffs that reminds me of the hypnotics....
it is a joy to rediscover this album, a great one.

While this Hawkwind release was far from critically acclaimed, I find it absolutely fantastic. It's very tight and ethereal with some great early 90's/late 80's Dave Brock guitar riffs that have shades of that early driving, pulsating Hawkwind at times. The vinyl sounds great. If you like "all things Hawkwind," then this should move high up on your wantlist. At this time, I am only aware of one vinyl release for this album.
