So, this is not "thug rap", it's hip-hop, and check the verses, conscious, KWest braggadocio, truly classic lines of legends.

            This really should be corrected.
In general surrounding "thug rap" as a genre, and really can we retire that? It's 2020 going on 2021.

Hardcore, or Gangsta Rap would be more precise, and not loaded. Sometimes G-Funk I've found was the precise subgenre.

"Thug" has been co-opted by the bad mayonnaise crowd, as a substitute to say publicly instead of the word they use in private.

            It's well-documented.

Plus as I mentioned, Hardcore, Gangsta Rap, these terms can be used for more precision without the connotation of "thug" that the white fox news crowd uses to put down our African-American brothers.

It's just a thought, one man's opinion, and I don't want this to be some oh I'm coming so correct, and y'all gotta step in line thing, no it's for reflection, to ponder, this was simply my conclusion of reflection, and if it hits, or provides a catalyst for further reflection that's great.

I'll close on this, Primo's cut > Rick Rubin's..... Primo proves the maxim "b-side wins again!"
