- So this album is a compilation album.
It has nihonjin from the band "far out" and the rest of the album is from their debut album "the cave"
In order to fit the track nihonjin they removed 2 songs from "the Cave". the amazing song sosei 蘇生(transmigration) and the track kidoairaku 喜怒哀楽(four minds)
If you want all the music Miyashita did. Youre better off getting the Far out album Nihonjin. And the far east family band album The cave. Separately. - Edited one year agodefinitely the best version of this album. i also had the german 1975 vertigo and an italian 1976 vertigo swirl.
those two versions are extremely bass heavy. also the volume fluctuations are more wild.
on this japan edition the volume changes sound more natural and the bass is more normal. if you love this album definitely get this version.
its not perfect it sounds slightly more steril/flat compared to the italian swirl. referencing Nipponjin (Join Our Mental Phase Sound) (LP, Limited Edition, Numbered, Reissue, Stereo, orange ) AZLP2001
Agree with the quiet pressing and varied volume of instruments through solos. My pressing is dead quiet though.referencing Nipponjin (Join Our Mental Phase Sound) (LP, Limited Edition, Numbered, Reissue, Stereo, orange ) AZLP2001
hi i have the same issues as all the 3 comments below ,thanks- It always came across to me as the Japanese Floyd. Nothing wrong with that in my book . Cosmic stuff and incredible guitar and phasing all over the shop. A treat for the ears.

Very quiet pressing with some surface noise. Volume varies a bit midsong on some tracks..referencing Nipponjin (Join Our Mental Phase Sound) (LP, Limited Edition, Numbered, Reissue, Stereo, orange ) AZLP2001
my copy is really low volume. Have to turn the stereo up quite a bit to have it at a decent level.referencing Nipponjin (Join Our Mental Phase Sound) (LP, Limited Edition, Numbered, Reissue, Stereo, orange ) AZLP2001
My copy is noisy and it is cut at a very low volume. Also the balance of instruments is inconsistent, they go up and down all the time, very weird. I don't have any other version to compare, so I'm not sure if it is a mix, or a mastering issue.
I found out that Klaus Schulze mixed it, so I guess it was an "artistic mix" and done that way for more trippier effect?
Anyone had found the same with his copy?- Edited 9 years agoI seem to have a very odd version of this. The sleeve track list is the same as this version, but the labels and runouts are wrong. Side 1 label shows only the first three tracks of the track list of side 2, but the label matrix (AA 6370 850.1 Y) agrees with the runout (6370 850 1Y). The actual tracks on this side of the LP are as on the sleeve listing for side 1. Side 2 label shows the two tracks on side 1, yet again the label matrix (AA 6370 850.2 Y) agrees with the runout (6370 850 2Y). Again, the actual tracks on this side of the LP are as on the sleeve listing for side 2. The 320 is on the runouts, but stamped well away from the rest of the numbers.Has anyone else come across this? I'd love to know how it happened!
