Sunlounger Feat. Zara (2) – Lost

[This review is based on my taste & preference]

Unpopular opinion here, while I really admire Shah / Sunlounger / and many of his aliases' tracks, the clear winner for me is Andrelli & Blue The Thousand Lighters Mix, which sadly doesn't get much exposure.
This remix captured my attention at the very first listen with its melodic approach, cheerful melody, soft beats, and the use of guitar sound from the original, I can say this remix is the improvement over the already superb original. For a note, I rarely go to clubs so this review is based on my casual listening at home. 10/10
The Original Mix is a nice track from Shah around these years, with true Balearic feel to it. 9/10
Aly & Fila Remix, while this track is the most suitable for clubs with its hard, uplifting beats, this just doesn't "do it" for me as I feel it is a little straightforward uplifting trancer. 6/10

How this never got a vinyl release is a real shame. An absolute master piece of a tune.

I really consider this release as the last balearic trance track. See, DJ Shah aka Sunlounger released two big balearic albums in 2008. He made several successful remixes under different aliases, and even in collaborations he followed his style. "Lost" is not an exception either, but only Club Mix. It is a sweet deep vocal trance with familiar balearic touch. You heard the word "balearic" here & there, not knowing what it is? Come, listen to this. Listen to albums, and Global Experience / Purple Mood tracks. But what began after "Lost" is unknown to me. No more balearic. No more "DJ Shah" alias, now it's "Roger Shah". Now it's commercial vocal trance, where balearic evolved. That's all about it.
