Largely overlooked at the time of it's release I believe this album to be the perfect distillation of the post hardcore variant in the nineties. RLT/SOT all high ranking veterans of the 80s hardcore scene forged their own sound which was indebted to 70s funk and choogle and garage rock as much as post punk or hardcore. The strong political stance put them closer to the UK peace punk scene than anything happening stateside at the time and are almost more poignant now. Funny that Maximum Rock and Roll refused to publish their ads thinking that they had strayed to far from punk. Strongly recommended.
