Very welcoming sound, excellent depth and warmth and dynamics. Very good, not a gatefold

The issues that are present on northern soul or storm in heaven are not on this, this is a phenomenal sound.

Great pressing. Clean, quiet, warm, lovely. Mine’s matrices are as indicated above. Not sure what ABCDJ, thepostpunk and BoomBapWax are talking about. Maybe they have a different pressing than I do. Record collectors can be a little nuts.

So the copies with the text around the rim is a later press? Is that the easiest way to differentiate these. This listing is the U.K. first pressing?

This 16-bit remaster (Qobuz) sounds amazing. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. I can't find any faults at all.
This is the 3rd time I've bought this album: LP, CD, and now this digital download. Forget the CD. I prefer the LP for smoothness (no surprise), and I prefer this digital remaster for clarity and dynamic impact (no surprise). If this had been a 24-bit release it would certainly be the overall winner.

This pressing straight up smokes the 2016 "from the Capitol Vaults" pressing, which is total garbage. This one is near perfect. As it should be for an album of this magnificence.

Agree with other reviews. Big bass sound but doesn't drown the rest, everything is clear. Wonderful pressing of a wonderful album.
