This is not a bad Australian pressing, very clear sounding.

Fun stuff. A prog rock romp on adaptions of various classical pieces, mooched together. Fans of Keyboards will enjoy, Don Airey & Rod Argent on one album? Wowza! Terrific cello from Webber's brother.

A fun listening experience. I purchased a used copy with the 7" 45 RPM at Record Wonderland in Roselle, IL. I had seen the LP over the years but hadn't bought a copy until after I read a very favorable review in the Tracking Angle, written by Mark Ward.

Indeed a surprising entry in Andrew Lloyd Webber's catalogue, and the recording is excellent as is the digital transfer. Possibly an early digital recording.

I have a copy of this which has a small sticker on side one stating 'Factory Sample, Not For Resale'. It also includes an invitation card to a Garden Party held by a Mrs Holbrook in 1985.

I was introduced to this album by my Music teacher (name long forgotten) as I was then learning to play the Cello. What struck me was how cool all the other musicians sounded, and how instrumental music could sound exciting and have importance (at the time it seemed if someone wasn't singing on a record it was somehow less valid).
Andrew Lloyd Webber has done nothing since as sweeping and interesting as this, the mood and pace of the music flowing and ebbing, the musicians all on top form. Each variation is touched on briefly and never outstays it's welcome. If you like the back catalogue of Mike Oldfield, Penguin Cafe Orchestra or Sky this will go down very well, who knows you may even take up the Cello ;)
