This album, along with "Half-Mute" and "Desire", are their best albums ever (to my ears) -

Pressed on translucent quitex vinyl this pressing sounds fantastic! A wide spectrum with excellent balance between the moths, mids and bottom. The songs on this one are also magnificent. One of their best here

I know that many Tuxedomoon aficionados disdain this record, but it was the first one I was exposed to from this unusual band, and I keep coming back to it. From the moody, noirish opener, "The Waltz," to the insistent "St John" and the off-kilter "Bonjour Tristesse" and the classics "Some Guys" and "In a Manner of Speaking," the thing just holds together really well. It's beautiful and challenging at the same time, which is kind of Tuxedomoon's hallmark. This music inhabits its own universe, and that's an amazing thing.

Heard some songs from this LP on the John Peel show which was broadcasted every wednesday night in Belgium in 1984,when i lived there and it was very exciting music , which caught my attention immediately esp. 'Where The Blood flows' is intense and nearly psychotic . Great album , which i bought in 1987 as one of my first cd's . HEll re-released another album by them ,which ain't bad , but far from this fantastic LP !
