- Excellent pressing, it sounds very full and atmospheric. Noise free. Only minor complaints would be the omission of 'Anybody Wanna Take Me Home' and the extremely tight packaging with paper inners. It can difficult to remove the disc's and close the gatefold without potentially bending the lyric sheet or damaging the discs a little.
Snagged this from the Paxam shop. Sonically, it’s a masterpiece. A couple of random pops but the mix/mastering make up for any factory defects.- Mine had a few pops on it. First track was where I heard it the most.
Edited one year agoI haven’t cracked the seal on my MOFI boxset to compare yet. This to my ear is still damm good tho. Up there with his finest work, if not considered his finest by many.
Have noticed a little sibilance on 2nd disc side 4 tho.
10 inch is such a weird choice tho. Definitely should have been standard 12inch LP
You can grab this for $25 over at the UMG Nashville store. Seems to be an indefinite thing for now. My copy sounds pretty good. Not Mo-Fi obviously, but good none the less!

Incredible release, but I wish it had the longer version of Anybody Wanna Take Take Me Home, and not the Rock N Roll version. Not only is it criminally short, it sounds very different than the rest of this record. I wonder if they used the wrong tape (wouldn’t be the first time for MFSL) and I would love to see this corrected. Otherwise, it’s AMAZING through and through
