2021 Repress of this up on Lightning Bolt's Bandcamp page and Thrill Jockey's artist store at retail price. Get em!referencing Lightning Bolt (CD, Album) Load 026
Can anyone possibly verify that there is in fact an 8 track version of this CD? Mine has the cover shown here but has the track listing and runout of the 1999 issue.referencing Lightning Bolt (2×LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Remastered, Opaque Yellow) THRILL 498
The art on the inside of the sleeve is upside down, is this just how the record was pressed?referencing Lightning Bolt (2×LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Remastered, Opaque Yellow) THRILL 498
Excellent pressing for such lo-fi recordings. And cool package too, with that wrap full of original designs by Chippendale, although I personally miss at least jacket to protect the discs.
And a note regarding the colour of the vinyls: they aren’t yellow but orange, and even not plain but with some (minor) black swirls.referencing Lightning Bolt (2×LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Remastered, Opaque Yellow) THRILL 498
Absolutely impeccable pressing... if you're a fan of this record, it's worth your money. Get it from Thrill Jockey direct though.- Edited 5 years ago

This sounds great! Despite the savage limitations imposed by the source material, Trutone's Carl Rowatti has managed to excavate a surprisingly crisp and dynamic remaster. While a noxious Murk still bogs the sound, it's now somewhat easier to discern the outlines of the catastrophe trapped within. And the pressing quality is excellent, so smooth and quiet as to interest fans of practical irony.
Which is not to suggest that the available joys require esoteric elevation. New listeners and jellied pit victims alike will delight in Thrill Jockey's refreshment of this wonder-clogged midrange hellscape, what with the one Brian's "bass" groaning like a mashed shipyard while the other offloads a torrent of weaponized ape conniptions. And that's just side A! Side B adds at least three more frequencies, including two good ones. Plus an extra credit challenge record for dessert.
Maximum volume, as they used to say, yields maximumresultsow. referencing Lightning Bolt (2×LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Remastered, Opaque Yellow) THRILL 498
16 people have this record... seems legit
perhaps they're just putting that to mean that they've pre-ordered it? but it still seems strange- This is finally getting reissued as a double LP: https://thrilljockey.com/products/lightning-bolt
