Lightning Bolt – Wonderful Rainbow

Sure the sleeve is neat looking but I like for my records to be easily put away. This adds more steps and I would prefer a regular sleeve.

Other than that, the vinyl sounds ok (a little bit noisy) and looks great.

I don't usually list my gear but I'll make an exception. Denon DL-110, Kenwood KD-550, Technics SU-V9 (Straight DC, no EQ.) Been listening to this album since release. Seen this band 3 times between this album and Hypermagic Mountain. There's my cred. This pressing sounds great. That's my review.

my only issue with this pressing is at least my copy has a little too much bottom end and sounds muddy, that could be an issue with the mixing itself tho

Dude... the music literally sounds just like the record packaging.

pretty disapointed with the sound of this pressing. Bass is really shallow (which isnt that abnormal since its vinyl), makes it sound flat. i know its possible to get the depth needed to make noisy music sound good on wax (example would be No Love Deep Web), but this pressing dosnt do the album justice.

negative criticism aside, this record has some the best packaging ive ever seen (courtesy of Brian Chippendale). I would recommend getting it just for the presentation alone.

Has anyone been able to find this at a Canadian retailer? None of my local shops have received their copies yet.

Don't know how something with so many stupid colors spread about the wax could sound this good. Excellent job with the pressing itself, which is virtually free of surface noise. Even better is the packaging: a fold out with new art inside courtesy of Brian Chippendale, and a cardstock inner sleeve with even more art, housing the disc in a poly-lined sleeve. Don't know how "limited" this is considering there is no standard version of the reissue available at this time. Includes download code.

Is it known how many copies of this were pressed? I've seen 300 copies numerous places, but I've also seen 750.
