- I believe the 2021 LP is a remaster like the 2021 CD. I have both the originals on CD and vinyl. Great reissues!

"Scratch Holiday" by Aksak Maboul is one of those abstract tracks you've never heard about. Melodic, minimal and strange turntablist piece. According to Crammed Discs it was entirely generated with a turntable, a vinyl 7" single from the '60s and some orange marmalade. I rarely use the word masterpiece since it gets abused around here more often than not, but considering the year this was released and how timeless it sounds, in my opinion it can be labeled as such. If this came out today or even in the 90s, pretentious folks would probably label it Intelligent Dance Music.
