One of the most uplifting and best pop songs ever made... with a double clap!- Edited 6 months ago

This has to be one of my favourite songs. I played this out the other day on 12” and it felt like reacquainting with a long lost friend. We hadn’t spoken in years but we immediately re-connected as though we’d never been apart. It just hit the spot and will remain timeless and have a special place for all of us friends who have loved and grown up with music over the years. Just outstanding (22 years later and a perfect previous review). referencing This Is The Day (7", Single, 45 RPM) A 3710
Yes, i already knew this song since the beginning of the 90s. Yes, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 bring me here. I don't know who was responsible to include this song in the soundtrack, but for me its one of the most brilliant usage of a song in a movie scene. Unforgettable.referencing This Is The Day (7", Single) 34-04478
A rare USA version single of the minor classic UK New Wave and alternative rock hit single?
Wow! This must be pretty rare indeed! Still a great song, too! Catchy accordion riff and nice relaxing Melodie’s.- Bonus promo single provides another two tracks that 'may' have made it onto the 'Pornography of Despair'! Not sure why Matt hasn't released it, it's a crucial part of THE THE history!

These versions are the same as tacked onto cassette version of Soul Mining in the USA. https://www.discogs.com/The-The-Soul-Mining/release/3060804referencing This Is The Day (12", 45 RPM, Single) TA 3710
Both tracks are parts of the outstanding album "Soul Mining" (1983). On this release there is also the famous work "GIANT" which was the greatest success of Matt Johnson and Paul Hardiman. This song has an incredible ingenious arrangement dramaturgy with a very long percussion part for that time in which it was published. Also there are great creative electronic sounds (which I miss today's most techno productions) and hard beats like a hammer beating into a stone. The album tells us about something how difficult it is to become an adult and to ask for answers of our reality to understand the world. That all completes a milestone in music history. This one was so good that they coulnd't repeat the same quality of their debut. Respect.
