CLANK sees Spooky shake off their ‘progressive house’ tag for more adventurous leanings, starting with the blippy and industrial breaks of the title track followed by the complex xylophone work on “Oblong.” The angular melody on “Thai” contrasts the throbbing bassline, and “Relief” goes more aggressive with its percussion before it’s tempered by the vocal layering. A welcome change of pace.

this EP is very reminiscent of Orbital around the same time period (94-96).

tune. both title and track most definitely a nod towards Sweet Exorcist's Clonk https://www.discogs.com/Sweet-Exorcist-Clonk/master/66266 - RIP Richard H Kirk

i remember getting sent this on promo and seeing it was spooky assumed it would be dated prog house , how wrong i was .
still love this track today has aged well , it's more two lone swordsmen than spooky and seeing as how it came out a year before must have been an influence on them .
i always think if they had done this release and 'found sound' lp under a different name they would be hailed as electro classics
