- Dreaming Winter Dreams
Half of the songs on the album are the arrangements of traditional ballads and of course folk ballads are always manifestations of sadness. “Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme; remember me to the one who lives there, for once she was a true love of mine. Tell her to make me a cambric shirt, parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme; without any seam or needlework, then she shall be a true love of mine.” The female vocals are crystal bells and the male singing is pretty dreamy. So The Waters of Sweet Sorrow is full of lacy harmonies and it is a rather charming album.
