Cheers! Mine just arrived. Pretty poorly packaged but appears unplayed and wasn't damaged in transit to Oregon. Records removed from sleeve before shipping so no busted spine!

The first HIA album starts strong, bridging the "gap" between bleep techno and ambience. Soft pads and hooks intertwine with blips, bleeps, qwirky percussion, electro flavourings and distinct proto-IDM-tinged atmospheres. The same goes for Freefloater. Both are mid-90s ambient classics but their reach extends beyond that of an insomnia cure, mostly because they escape easy pidgeonholing. Recommended.

Great record. Ketamine Entity (Axiom Mix) is an absolute burner.

Not perturbed by the oceanic vastness of The Orb or the crescendonic oomph of Orbital - Bob Bird and Dave Wheels connect Birmingham to the huge evergrowing pulsating brain. Still, as it bubbles along at neither speed nor immensity as their ambient tech brethren, it does emanate certain calm and melodic grace; “Spectral” and “Speedleam” effortlessly bounce along, both unpretentiousness and unassuming to find reasons why we’re here or extrapolate phases from alpha to omega. Refreshing though it maybe, the likely scenario of grandiose unbecoming to this particular higher intelligence agency may ring more truth when “Re-echo’ and “Ketamine Entity” get all moody on your service. B+

My friends and I used to use Delta as the standard test of bass response for speakers. If only I had it now!
