- Metal pressings seem to be hit or miss, and I found this one a hit overall. Nice open soundscape, dead quiet vinyl. Could have used a little more bottom, but fans of this album should be pleased.
This pressing has seemingly no low end. I'm not sure what the other guy was talking about but this pressing sounds like absolute crap compared to the CD. I have plenty of other records that sound incredible but this just ain't it.
The first thing I noticed is there is absolutely 0 surface noise on my copy, I almost thought I forgot to turn the speakers on at first until the music came in. And once the music kicks in, it opens up to a huge soundstage I’ve rarely experienced even with other records. A Very 3D sound, this pressing does this groundbreaking album all the justice it deserves and more.
