Alright, Ive read about the repress being utter crap, but Ive learned its just picky. I had bought a sub par record player off Amazon and the c side would skip through most of it and I believe some of b side would skip, I brought it to a buddy's house who has a Audio Technica, (not sure which model), and all the songs played without a hiccup. So I went to Wall-Mart and picked up a 60 dollar record player and it worked fine. I really think its just a picky repress. Other than that, this is my seocond favorite boc album next to Boc Maxima, which will never be found. Best songs Dayvan Cowboy and Constants are Changing. Worst song is Slow this Bird Down, not a bad song, just too long for what it is.

Take more time than others BoC albums to get into. But once, it is as valuable as others ihmo

This album was an extremely new sound for BOC. They stepped away from their trademark sampled child vocals and added acoustic guitars to their sound palette. The electronic/acoustic hybrid drum beats are now replaced by entirely acoustic drum patterns. The synth sounds are undefinable, they put on so many effects that I can't even tell what it is anymore, all my ears know it that it's extremely beautiful. The sound of the album is also lighter and happier than Geogaddi, using more uplifting melodies and claps in the drum beats. Many of the retain the BOC feel: they're longer, and change subtely. Although, I've noticed more breaks in the melodies and beats that serve to break up repetition. As much as I love this album, I wouldn't recommend that you make it your first listen for the band. If you love the uplifting and accessible sound of trakcs such as "Dayvan cowboy" and "Peacock Tail", you may just be disappointed by the dark, electronic sound of their other albums.

Both records are very warped and the B side is missing it's sticker. Still plays decently though.

Just been reading through all these comments on the repressings of the boc vinyl. So far I've gotten Hi Scores, MHTRTC, Twoism, ABPOITC… all of them were well pressed and played well without any surface noise or errors. But man, from what people have said about TCH and TransCanadaHighway, and Geogaddi, (and I've read Twoism had issues too) it seems they really fakked something up in these repressings. Campfire Headphase is probably my least favourite boc album so I'm gonna save it for last, and I'm glad I chose to do so. Hoping I can get the newest one that ISN'T a bad pressing.

Geogaddi is their best album, closely followed by this one. Not sure why this album is often regarded as their weakest.

Probably their most underrated album. How can somebody give this one/two stars with tracks like "85 Pontiac Dream", "Satellite Anthem Icarus", "Sherbet Head" and "Constants Are Changing"??

This is for me the less interesting BOC Album its sounds too much post rock and little electronic, it lacks dark expression, and also it should be more melancholic, instead this release sounds more like ambient musics to listen by the beach or in a sunny afternoon. My favorite music is "Slow this bird down" its very melancholic and i love the way it is. Also "Sherbet head" is very good, which sounds very dark.

I have the same problem with side c and d. What a waste of money. I bought it from a record store as an exchange for a badly pressed American reissue of SAW 2. Now I'm stuck with another poor-sounding record. Thanks warp and warner for screwing the fans.
