- This album was one of mine's and my bestmate' favorite as soulseeking teenagers back in the mid-00's, amongst our Belle & Sebastian and Sarah Records crush. Always enjoyed coming back to it over the years. This remastered version sounds absolutely lovely and it is great to rediscover our beloved obscure classic. Only thing i was struggling with on first listen was the tracklist changes (really waited for 'One Two Five' to start after 'Let Her Go'), but this only shows how engraved this album is in my mind and heart. Kudos to Slumberland again!
- Fantastic pressing. Flat and pin drop quiet. Sounds excellent. High quality cover as well. Recommended.
- What a wonderful sounding record, a very pleasurable listen all the way through..this album is like a beautiful spring day

referencing Some Dusty (CD, Album) ITRCD2
This album is truly an overlooked, somber masterpiece. Not entirely somber, of course, but even the uptempo songs like "Laugh" and "One Two Five" are tinged with a sense of wistful contemplation. This is the pervasive mood of "Some Dusty": a kind of longing, with a touch of melancholy. The song selection is absolutely solid, chock full of lovely pop gems without a single dud in the lot (the bonus track on the Spanish and Japanese editions, "She Can't Lose" makes an excellent addition to an already fine album and is well worth seeking out). This is simply a wonderfully subtle, classy album deserving of a wider audience. Every bit of Birdie's output is very good, at least, but "Some Dusty" really is their finest hour. A rare perfect album.
