That would be an understatement if I said that I was completely blow away by the sound and overall quality of this release. Just get this version if you still don't have this classic album on vinyl - it's so beautiful, the sound is very rich and detailed. In addition, a sort of soft-touch matte finishing on the sleeve is a nice cherry on top

This pressing sounds OK on the outer tracks. I find 15 Step and Bodysnatchers to sound pretty good with some clarity and punch but once you get to the inner tracks the detail is gone. By the time you get to the crescendo end of All I Need, it sounds like muffled mush. I also have the deluxe 2 x 45 vinyl and that sounds much better than this.

No one on here is kidding about the sound quality. The first thing I notice in this rendering more than I ever noticed in any before, is the way that Tom's vocals weave in and out of the soundscape. Incredible! That said, there is a lot of space here, lots of room between the instruments and you can follow each instrument through all of its parts, except where it all gets real heavy and layered, but that was not likely the band's goal in those passages, and it might be one of vinyl's few weaknesses anyway. The depth and dynamism of reverb and fading in and out throughout the music is as good as it gets. The stereo mix is subtle but impactful.

Beyond all that, the rendering between the acoustic, electric and digitally-created sounds is impeccable and palpable. The live strings in the studio on a few tracks and the acoustic guitar and piano in places are rich and full and showcase one of vinyl's ultimate abilities. The juxtaposition between the distortion the band intended and the smooth sounds intended is super dynamic. The soundstage was great (not phenomenal) and the detail was crisp in all the right places. From being mostly a jazz listener and former drummer, I love when you can hear the stick head strike the surface of the ride cymbal. The bass is tight, melodic and quite dynamic, but a bit light (just notch the sub or EQ up a bit to your liking). If you like this album, it will be the last vinyl copy you will ever need to chase. Don't bother with the reissues, the ones I have tried stink. As some have said, easily one of the best sounding records I own.

After breifly listening back and forth with the first 45rpm double lp original pressing, I can briefly say that the OG pressing sounds miles ahead better than this version. All though this one sounds really good, the differences are there. It's like day and night. Everything is more on 45rpm discs. Instrument seperation, Yorke's voice, sound level, depthness, you name it. If you have budget and a good hifi setup, spend more and get the OG. That's an experience.

A good record, definitely not perfect though. My pressing was slightly warped and ofcentre but nothing truly distracting.
The pressing is dynamic but doesn't manage to fill the room, it lacks a bit of depth but apart from that great sound and just good songs.

I also love the material used for the cover, it's soft touch but doesn't collect fingerprints. Gives the sleeve a nice feel and satin look.

Somehow I bought this fantastic album back around 2010, opened it up and looked at the pretty art, but then didn't get around to listening to it until today. One of those situations where I said "I'll do it tomorrow" and tomorrow never came.

Oh my days, the 45s sound incredible. Even the cd sounds nicer than my other In Rainbows LP.

Anyone know if this pressing is 180 grams like the ‘07 UK pressing?
