Pavement – Slanted And Enchanted

Received my copy directly from Matador and it was a little bowled. Doesn’t appear to effect playability or sound in any significant way, at least that I can tell. No clicks or pops after a quick static brush clean. The music, itself, is classic and this is a solid sounding pressing, pretty faithful to the original cd release back in 92. I’ll echo the other reviewer’s sentiment that the color and splatter are pretty spot on compared to the advertisement. Recommended, especially for the relatively low price they’re going for at the moment (~$22).

Great sounding reissue. I didn’t have any issue with it being noisy. Looks cool with the splatter and a great player to keep my OG pressing in top shape.

Had to give this an extra clean since the first one wasn't quite enough for my copy. BUT after that I think it sounds great as a result. I thought the mock image for that splatter was gonna be a little too much but it actually turned out close it and looks really cool imo. I wouldn't be the least opposed to seeing more Pavement records receive Matador's Revisionist History treatment.

Does anybody know how limited this pressing actually is? Thanks

Release date of 420? Ha. How appropriate. I don't remember that being a thing back then.

Superb pressing, to my ears. Cover art looks fine, too. Sound quality is almost flawless, dead quiet and dynamic, plenty of punch (even for a rather lo-fi recording). Pressing is flat and glossy.

Damn, I've had this since 2010 and I'm just now finding out this was supposed to have an insert?

My version is closest to this one however has some differences, mainly missing the 11'' insert lyrics / credits sheet and have Ⓤ in the deadwax on both sides. Vinyl label's are identical as well.

Anyone else come across a version like mine missing the 11'' insert sheet?

The cover, label and runout information looks pretty similar to the 150 gram version from 1999. but my copy weighs 108 grams. So far I have rated it as 1999 150 gram repress. but I think mine is 1993 repress.

The -SP ending on the runout further proves that this was pressed at some point before 2002 when SRC ceased vinyl production. Probably a 90's repress around the same time as Crooked Rain's release.
