One of the more overlooked albums from Flying Saucer Attacks already overlooked catalog. Not sure the reason, but it’s an album I find myself loving more and more with each listen. Like another reviewer said, it’s just like curling up and drifting into outer space, or slipping into universal consciousness or something. Shit, I don’t know but it’s mind blowing when this band and this album in particular start to click. FSA was not a typical rock band in the “rock” sense. They were much more an ambient and drone band, a perfect sound to fill up a room on a grey, rainy day. The first half of this record is auditory bliss. Buy it and thank me later.

Do you know those songs that you could just curl up and live inside of? Songs like "All I Need" off mbv's Isn't Anything or Roy Montgomery's cover of "Used To"? Songs that sounds like how the eternal bardo must sound, erasing the difference between harshness and bliss? "Up In Her Eyes" on Side A is one of these songs.

WTF is this, why do I own it. There's some guys sorting the balcony outside my flat right now with heavy power tools, should Domino sign them?

Certainly an under appreciated album in Mr. Pearce's cannon. Side A alone is one of his better offerings, on par with the first self titled album and the excellent early singles collected on Distance.

This pressing sounds dreadful I think. Please can someone else confirm. Its the only thing I've heard by them.
