I'm honestly not sure what to think about this in terms audio quality. The audio seems to be hard clipped - like a fairly aggresive peak limiting has been applied at about -1.3dB. I'm not sure if this is a mastering issue or an artistic choice, but really it doesn't sound great at times. Looking at the waveform many of the peaks are just flattened. It's not unique to this Mountain Goats album either, and it's the same on all the file formats from the Bandcamp page - not just the 24bit FLACs. I'll probably seek out a vinyl copy to see how that compares.

One of the more beautiful looking pressings I own. Sound is clear and balanced. Yet another banger album from these legends

Pretty significant side 1 warp. Played through ok to my ear. Sides 2&3 showed a warp too tho less pronounced.
