On The House - Pleasure Control (1986) - This is one of the better "megamix" style underground beats mash-ups
from the late 80's era. The production is lo-fi no doubt, and the pressing
quality isn't exactly stellar, but In a way I feel like that is part of the whole
appeal. Side A on this is really on point though, and I like it a lot. - Edited 12 years agoRE: recording quality, it sounds exactly how you'd expect it to sound if you had to put loads of splices of tape together!
Some noticeable dips in volume and EQ in places but overrall pretty good : )
Essential [as much of the series is] for edit freaks and dance music historians [is that the correct term?!] - Edited 14 years agoThis Is a great historic House record, having said that; technology has advanced a lot over the 20+ years since this was made, the recording quality especially on side B is appalling, appeal to the bits & pieces crew please remaster this and the whole series & put it in a box set I'd buy it. Rant Over... This is Ace 5/5
