- Edited 9 months agoDance Mania completists - I have the super-rare misprinted version (same label copy on both sides), which used to be listed here but has now disappeared. There were NEVER any for sale. I would be happy to swap that for a normal copy, if it's the high end of VG+/NM. Hit me up.
- Edited 2 years ago'Not A Star' samples the classic Jim Burgess- mixed disco of Change 'A Lovers Holiday'. 2-B-Free gets the most shouts, for me NAS is the one if I had to pick, it's a stripped down hypnotic disco beast.
- Does everybdy know this sit had been repessed already?
Do not pay huge money.
https://www.discogs.com/Deeon-Deeon-Doez-Deeon/release/6814053 - A wonderful record. A-side is some serious Chicago disco house, including the fantastic "2-B-Free".
B-side brings it back to ghetto house, including the all-time classic "The Freaks". "Same Hoez" is a sort of edit of 2Pac's "All About You", while "Shake It (Rmx)" brings together the well-known Deeon "shake whatcha mama gave ya" track with sample inserts from Soundmaster T's "2 Much Booty". - Awesome EP from famous ghetto house producer DJ Deeon. On this release he goes outside of his territory into Disco and in turn does two of his best tracks. 2-B-Free is an awesome Chicago disco-sounding track, really well done. Not a Star is also decent, not fantastic as it's a bit calm. Then flip it over for some harder ghetto-sounding stuff, and The Freaks is another great track with a Oh, Oh vocal hook that's just great. Same Hoez is a bit weak though with an almost inaudible vocoder'd voice and a terrible bassline, and Shame It (RMX) is a bit annoying with a half-decent beat.
Buy it for 2-B-Free and The Freaks though, two of DJ Deeon's best tracks.
