The quality of the pressings are fine. It’s likely the equipment that’s causing the issue.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this bootleg sounds amazing. Unbelievable I’m hearing this level of dynamic clarity with something stamped with the Plain Recordings logo. Seeing as the first 3 low albums are being held hostage by universal music, I’m not sure when or if we are going to see a legitimate reissue of this album, so this will more than do for the time being.

Obviously not audiophile quality but damn good sounding for a bootleg. Some surface noise but nothing abrasive. Good dynamics and separation with the instrument, all things considered. What do you expect? It's a boot and the album itself is very lo-fi to begin with.... Alan's vocals do sound a tad muddy but I'm noticing a similar quality on the OG CD, so I'm gonna assume he just he recorded his vocals reverb heavy? Mimi's voice sounds crystal and her symbols sound crisp and present. Until a legit RP comes along this will have to do...

Completely agree with krudster, really good sounding bootleg, great copy that will do for now. Still hoping for the band to get the money and respect they deserve for this!

I agree with krudster in that this is actually a solid sounding bootleg. The soundstage is nice and has a lot of clarity. Vinyl is heavy and other than a few rips here and there, it's dead quiet after a good cleaning. I was pretty bummed out when I realized this was a bootleg after I got home from the record store, but that's the chance I took. Hopefully we will see an official reissue of this in the not-so-distant future, but for now, this does the job!
