Various – Saturday Night Fever (The Original Movie Sound Track)

Soundstage is not very impressive, unfortunately. Bought this before I knew a lot about the hobby/curse. It sounds like a CD, which isn't necessarily bad, just compressed and tight. Hindsight being 20/20, but I'd iike to compare an original copy with this. I bet the OG is wide open.

It’s honestly enjoyable to listen to :) I like the movie just as much as the soundtrack, of course. I think it’s interesting that a lowkey commentary of the late 70s New York somehow happens to have a soundtrack like this that if you blast it on vinyl, you’re in for that much of a sonic ride

Highlights: the obvious ones made by The Bee Gees, “Salsation”, “K-Jee”, Tavares’ cover of “More Than A Woman”, and “A Fifth of Beethoven”

That’s really all you have to pay attention to unless you’re an audacious musicaholic

P.S.: "Night on Disco Mountain" is a JAM

I would second the sole other review: sound quality is decent but not stellar. Lacks a bit on the bottom end. Enjoyable listen, though.

Decent pressing. A little lacking on the bottom end. A fun album all around, though.

Sounds decent actually. My copy is an Australian press but sleeve has New Zealand phonogram address..

It's funny that despite everything here, no edition has ever included the version of "More Than A Woman" used in the actual film.

Just compared the sound of this german pressing with the french pressing Various - Saturday Night Fever (The Original Movie Sound Track). The french pressing is better, mostly because the recording surface engraved is larger from the start to the final groove than the german pressing.
