      This is the 2nd edition (or pressing?) of this album. The original pressing is noted by the labels with only "Long Playing" at the bottom. Capitol changed the layout around June 1957 with the text "Long Playing - High Fidelity" arched at the bottom.
      An iconic album in the "exotica" genre that was just taking off in popularity in the US.
      It's a shame the players aren't mentioned by name in on the back cover notes.

        LP sounds like you are listening to an audio track to an old TARZAN serial...Drums and more drums...Lex Baxter was recording for decades plus he wrote some top music for movies and TV shows and still churned out lots of albums over his career...These cuts are pretty heavy for way back in 1957...Heck, let's face it...EVERYTHING sounds better with bongos...
