Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Sgt. Pepper for short) is the eighth studio album by the British band The Beatles, released on May 26, 1967 in the United Kingdom. Including the compilation album A Collection of Beatles Oldies, it was their ninth album to be released in the UK. In the Federal Republic of Germany, the album was released on May 30, 1967, and it was their twelfth album released there, including two compilation albums. On June 1, 1967, it was released in the United States as the group’s 14th album. As stipulated in The Beatles’ new contract, EMI’s US subsidiary, Capitol Records, was required to release it without changes.

The album is considered one of the first pop music concept albums and a milestone of the genre. With over 32 million copies sold, it is one of the world's best-selling music albums.

Wish I had been into records during the time these were first coming out so I didn’t have to spend as much as I did on this to get it, (it’s my money, shut up). Regardless, sound quality is unmatched and is the best I’ve heard the album thus far. Beautiful packaging to match too.

This pressing is one of THE best pressings of Sgt. Pepper's out there. The Stereo sounds are vivid, the bass is deep, and the vocals are pretty clear-cut. If you like STEREO versions, I highly suggest grabbing a copy. It Rivals the Parlophone cuts from the BLUE BOX. The vinyl itself is also quite attractive in marble.

Its mind blowing how unnecessary it was for this to be the best pressing of this album, at least looking outside of the Nimbus and Audio 5 versions. I compared an MFSL and a UK -1/-1 pressing to this -5/-4 and my goodness this cut somehow DESTROYED both. The MFSL was so weird and hurt my hears, the UK 1st was so rough that the vocals sounded like sandpaper and the drums were dull, this one is magic and has real 3D instrumentation.

Surprisingly nice sounding pressing. Very good range. I don't have any other version to compare, but considering my experience with some other Beatles records, this is one of the better sounding ones.

The bass needs to be tamed a bit, but overall, I prefer this remix, and for me, preferring a remix of a Beatles album is rarer than an acetate of "Penny Lane" with that extra bit of trumpet at the end. It combines the best touches from the stereo and mono mixes: the psychedelic separation and greater emphasis on weird sounds of the stereo with the heavy rhythm section and hotter guitars of the mono, as well as "She's Leaving Home" at the intended peppier speed. That song really cannot afford to drag.
