Sensations' Fix - Cosmic Couriers genre or Frippian rock Italian style?
I'd certainly plumb for the latter. And I know my Krautrock! Certainly, they were unique in Italian prog. Maybe it's a matter of perspective? Remember, this album is 1974! Largely this was all the unique new invention of Franco Falsini.
You need influences/comparisons? Well, the one real clue as to their influence is in the rear cover quote... "Dear Robert, you'll be glad to know that the heavenly music organisation is here too." referencing Robert Fripp and the "No Pussyfooting" track "The Heavenly Music Corporation". The Fripp influence also compares with Richard Pinhas and the use of electronics, and many other such French artists from around the same time.
But Krautrock? No, I don't get it. Maybe a little bit of Sand's "Golem" or some Mythos? But that's stretching the imagination! If anything, Sensation's Fix were innovators that went on to influence other Italians, especially so in the experimental new wave.
