Love Dove is the winner on this EP as it dives deep before heading off into acid heaven. Nice vibe in this track and very well done. Astral Community is also a nice track for those into the kinder side of acid. referencing Fjord EP (12", EP, 33 ⅓ RPM) NOOM 008-6
A2 Astral Community seems to be inspired by the track "Suffer the children" from Tears for Fears , i think tooreferencing Fjord EP (12", EP, 33 ⅓ RPM) NOOM 008-6
B1 Plutonia seems to be inspired by the main melody of tubular bells from mike oldfield i thinkreferencing Fjord EP (12", EP, 33 ⅓ RPM) NOOM 008-6
As you would expect, the Trance and Hard Trance from Noom Records in the mid 90's is of the highest quality. This is entirely applicable to Instant Zen's Fjord EP. Four amazing Hard Trance tracks that still sound really good. As someone who is into Hardcore, it is Synthetic that grabs my attention. Beautiful Hard Trance that employs a Hardcore kickdrum in the second and forth quarters of the track. Great record!referencing Fjord EP (12", EP, 33 ⅓ RPM) NOOM 008-6
excellent trancer in my opinion one of the very best melodic tunes from this age liking astral commuintyreferencing Fjord EP (12", EP, 33 ⅓ RPM) NOOM 008-6
Excellent 4-tracker from Noom. All cuts are excellent, but they all have the same tonality, and are quite similar (being the exception "Plutonia", with a nice piano tune). My pick is "Astral Community", with a happy and cheerful tune over a serious and menacing 303 riff! Essencial for all Noom collections.referencing Fjord EP (CD, EP, Blue Background ) NOOM 008-5
In my opinion there is a superior mix of track 1 called Synthetic (303 Experience Mix) which you can find in the following Noom comps [8 Steps - The Noom Collection & Noom-Box]. It is more progressive and eliminates the hardcore beat that comes in towards the middle and the end of the original version featured in the CDM here.
Not sure if the version included on the 12" is the remix or not (since no credit s given) but according to the video on youtube, looks like the LP includes the remix.

I agree with IRL303 this is an acid classic!! powerful acid sounds combined with the typical sound of classic rave trance my favorite tracks are probably Synthetic & Astral Community (Original Mix) quite a good pick if you're looking for cheap bargins!- Edited 13 years ago

Great EP from the Noom Label. All the tracks rate high. Nice 303 sounds in each track. I think "Love Dove" captures the sound of '94 trance music in Germany perfect. Well done Samuel Malm!
