anybody know why this reissue does not contain Love Hurts?

Nazareth...perhaps one of the most overlooked hard rock bands of the seventies. They should have been much bigger than they were. The guitarists laid down such memorable riffs. And, Dan McCafferty had such uniquely gruff vocals. Between these two things, it's what gave the band such a standout sound. This band was so much better than Black Sabbath by a long shot! I'm sure that statement will have a lot of people up in arms. But, the truth is the truth. This is such a classic album! I believe you will be hard-pressed to disagree. If you like well done hard rock, and have never heard this album. Then, give yourself a break, treat yourself, and give this a listen.

Wow. That thing sounds killer! Rock albums don’t typically make the hifi list, but this sounds stunning

Agree with everybody! Very nice sound - I was afraid of this being "yet another over-compressed and flat record" -luckily, I was wrong! Want to keep that one for sure!

The 1986 Netherlands reissue is surprisingly dynamic! Very well rounded sound. They say the original German press is the best but I cant imagine it's much better than this!

NOTE: This is the UK version which does NOT include the song Love Hurts.
The audio is fantastic, the vinyl itself is dead quiet. However, on some songs I hear some pressing defects that really come through when using headphones. Until I can find a good original (maybe never) this is a great sounding copy of this iconic album. The one big gripe I have is the color of the vinyl is supposed to be purple. It is not. It has just a slight tinge of lilac maybe, but it looks mostly white.
I paid for purple, I should get purple!! LOL

Mine copy shows as variant side a: AM SP 4759 P4 (not etched symbols) and on side B: AM SP 4760 P7 etched 3 Λ can be considered as variant of this release? But the inner sleeve looks idem to the one released and pressed at Santa Maria (this)

For something kind of obscure that I had sitting around for years before getting to (it was a cheap garage sale find) this is actually really good, blusy 70s hard rock. Don't Judas Me in particular is a super interesting track that's more on the blues rock/proto-metal side.

Also a really nice pressing that's held up and sounds great, even with mine being a well loved one that's pretty beat up at a glance. Not much surface noise or audible popping at all.
