Notes
Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience and the final studio album released before Hendrix's death in 1970. A double album, it was the only record from the Experience produced by Hendrix. The band's most commercially successful release and their only number one album, it was released by Reprise Records in the United States on October 16, 1968, and by Track Records in the UK nine days later. By mid-November, it had reached number one on the US charts, spending two weeks there. In the UK it peaked at number six, where it spent 12 weeks on the chart.
Electric Ladyland includes a cover of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower", which became the Experience's best-selling single, reaching number six in the UK and 20 in the US. Although the album confounded critics in 1968, it has since been viewed as Hendrix's best work and one of the greatest rock records of all time. Electric Ladyland has been featured on many greatest-album lists, including Q's 2003 list of the 100 greatest albums and Rolling Stone's 2020 list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, on which it was ranked 53rd.
UK sleeve 'day of release' copies include:
- the White Text version = regular: example 1, example 2
- the Blue Text version and/or Ghost Version = overprinting of a rejected tracklist

Reviews
- Great sound, nice repress. Cannot compare it to the “track” pressing but really nice bass and mids.
If you find a copy buy it - This LP is a good reissue. The pressing is very well done, and if you find an NM code it is a good buy, for a reasonable price.
All analogue. - A raw & raunchy sprawling kaleidoscopic stoner rock & tripped-out vision of dynamic sonic textures & layers, virtuoso guitar playing, radiant psychedelic melodies, rhythmic cohesiveness, powerful vocals, innovative studio experimentation & impeccable songwriting.
An enthralling aural odyssey. - essential cds to own for the hardcore fan of electric ladyland. these cds sound incredible and are very true to the sound of the tapes imperfections and all. I confess sometimes I feel that the sound on these cds is better than the various vinyl copies I have in terms of transparency, I truly feel I can hear and pay attention to a lot more of the details within the music.
- Just opened after years of owning and put on turntable. I have to agree this indeed sounds very good except sound quality on last few tracks of side B the mastering or tape was off or something . Not horrible by no means but you can tell the difference especially when i put disc 2 side C on you could really hear the dynamics and soundstage.

we have a copy for sale that appears unplayed - jacket is in VG+ condition - message us if interested- Did anyone else notice a skip right near the end of Watchtower? it's not caused by any vinyl damage, and no pops or clicks accompany it. I use a Technics SL-B2 with a AT-VM95C cartridge. My copy is near mint.
- I wonder if it also distorted from the second part of side C first track like the usual 2 tone label orig US press, where the UK doesn't? ;)
- A fabulous sound from start to finish; dynamic, earthy, powerful. The vinyl is virtually dead quite.
The only drawback: it is an “auto-coupled” double album. But basically it doesn't matter, because the sound (and the fantastic record artwork) is a lot of fun. - I just inherited a collection and this was the crown jewel in borderline NM condition. Sound quality is absolutely exceptional, just explodes off the grooves. This easily beats any other version. It’ll never leave my collection!
