sound is very good on this pressing but the vinyl is unfortunately very warped, at least the record I got.

This edition uses the same 1992 Musea analog-to-digital transfer, except the "remastering" exacerbated the tape drop-outs, cut the dynamics and made the sound flatter and more muddy. Not recommended.

Excellent sounding pressing,
very good remastering & dynamics, especially the bass (bass-guitar) and drum is very present

From my "Zeuhl" feature in Audion #42: Originally Weidorje was the title of a track on Magma's ÜDÜ WÜDÜ album, which lead to Bernard Paganotti and Patrick Gauthier establishing their own band with a music in similar style. It's easy to see why Weidorje were formed (when you know where Magma went after this) as what they wanted to do was go beyond the power of Magma "Zeuhl" fusion. Although existing for around three years, it's a great shame that Weidorje only got to make the one album, as it was a sizzling masterpiece created by what was a veritable supergroup of top jazz and rock musicians. Three tracks of pure Zeuhl power, Weidorje's album was pure magic, a brassy/electronic twist on the genre gone overboard, full of systemic type complexities created by the vast array of instruments involved. The CD reissue proves that a follow-up could have been every bit as good, with two previously unreleased live tracks from October 1978 showing the band in fine form, with a jazzier yet also more original twist on their style. In their later days, after the departure of Michel Ettori, other renowned guitarists: François Ovide and Pierre Cherez later featured in the band, but by this time apparently the spirit of the band had been broken and they decided to disband in summer 1979...

Pretty scarce only album by MAGMA's connected French progressive band, featuring
Klaus Blasquiz, Jean-Philippe Goude, Bernard Paganotti, Michel Ettori and Patrick
Gauthier...they gave us a violent MAGMA/HELDON-inspired progressive music...a real
savage stuff with anguished atmosphere, strong rhythm section, ultra vitriolic guitar
leads, dissonent sax breaks, dark incantations...this album was recorded at the Studio
Hérouville by Laurent Thibault...
