This Deep Groove label is an RCA pressing. There is also another version with the same label and runout, but a different Compo Company pressing ring.

You get compression, sure. But they did a good job cleaning up those archaic tapes and made them sound quite good.

Incredible release all-around and I honestly feel this is a must-have in any music collector's collection. It's a piece of American music history and it couldn't be presented more beautifully. The Stoughton gatefold jacket, the press quality, labels, and mastering are all superb. Hard to believe this was recorded in 1957-58 - it sounds spectacular.

The sound of this reissue is stunning and crisp. Wide open sound stage and the bass is warm and fills the room. The original still wins in my personal opinion, sounds authentic and punchy(if you can manage to find one in decent shape that is).

Surprisingly good sounding UK reissue with very nice textured cover! My copy is in very good (VG+) shape and no issues with tracking! Prices are very reasonable on the secondary market for this.

This is an awesome record. Huge heavy Stoughton jacket accompanied by a flawless pressing from QRP. Can’t even imagine this recording commercially sounding better than it does here. Have yet to hear a bad Kevin Gray cut, this just continues the trend

I just got the Ortofon mono cart and this is Absolutely Unbelievable!! I thought it sounded great with a stereo cart but F$%K!!! Blows my friggin mind with a mono cartridge!!! No surface noise at all! Friggin Beautiful!!

Was basically dead silent until I flipped over to side 2, I have a TON of ticks. Mastering is top notch though.

Incredible sounding reissue. As stated below, the sound is 3D. My first copy was warped, but the second is flat and dead silent.

I just picked up a copy at RRP from acoustic sounds. Very happy with the purchase. The sound is unbelievable! Very 3D, even though it's mono. Great tunes too!
