"Voulez-Vous" is the sixth studio album by ABBA. Released April 23, 1979, it topped the charts all over Europe, and made Top 10 in countries including Canada, New Zealand and Australia. In the US, it became ABBA's third album to reach the top 20.
Although the album is disco oriented as a whole and includes the uptempo singles "Voulez-Vous / Angeleyes" and "Does Your Mother Know", it also includes the hit single ballads "Chiquitita" and "I Have A Dream". "Summer Night City" was the first song of the sessions to be released (as single in 9/78) but it was ultimately left off the album. "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)", recorded after the album release, was later included as a bonus track on CD versions of the album. The album was first released on CD in 1984.
The photo sessions for the cover were made at the Alexandra disco, a well known night club in Stockholm at the end of 1970s and in the 1980s.

Agree with XETSOF’s opinion. it sounds clean and clear but too light and treble is emphasized, lacking deep bass. Mideocre pressing.

This Greek edition has a strange free interpretation. Some songs start with a fade-in effect, and not like in the original version of the album. This is so inappropriate!
Sound is quite bright.- What a great sound. Warm, wide, detailed, dynamic. It’s just so cool, that nowadays these Japanese releases of ABBA are so cheap in Mint condition. They worth much more.
Traditionally for Japanese vinyl - dead quiet surface.
I’ll leave the same review for these Discomate releases, because they are equal in terms of sound and quality. - The mixing is not good on this one. When I compare to the same songs included on "The Essential Collection", it sounds as if the backup vocals are buried behind layers of noise. I think the lead vocals are supposed to be focused up front, but they constantly shift slightly back and forth from left to right, which is extremely irritating. It's a shame, because apart from this, the remastering is excellent. I say find a different copy.
Avoid this pressing. Although it has minimal surface noise, the sound is harsh / brittle.
