Reviews
- AMAZING mastering, but CRAP pressing quality! It’s such a disappointment and disservice when a great mastering engineer does a stellar job cutting a lacquer, then they send it off to be pressed and the pressing plant just totally drops the ball. This is by far the best sounding mastering of this album I’ve ever heard. Unfortunately side 2 commonly suffers from non-fill, and my copy is no different. Side 1 is a real stunner though! My only hope is that Analogue Productions decides to use these Classic metal parts and press this mastering again some day, because it deserves to be heard!
- I've got a copy of the ERC White Blood Cells I'm looking to trade for this. Please message me if you'd be interested!

This is coming out By Analog Productions for the the Atlantic 75 anniv- While the older Rhino remaster was decent and the MoFi OneStep pressing is good, the ERC pressing is on another level. ERC did a fantastic job on this one. The clarity of the vocals is amazing. It sounds like CS&N are sitting with you in your listening space. It may cost a lot, but if you want the best, this is it.
- Alot of the issues people are mentioning i found disappeared when i cranked it up, just needs a bit more volume to open up... still on the warm side though which is maybe worse on some setups than others... i find it a nice pressing though when played loud. Enjoying it right now.
- My copy has -J on side one's matrix, and -K E7 SRC 1-3 on side 2. It also has E A S T around the spindle hole, and a brown Atlantic inner sleeve. And it has a textured cover, but I'm wondering if someone just switched it.
Anyway, I'm increasingly convinced that the 1994 CD is the version of this album I most prefer, but this 1977 reissue has a warmth and presence that is really lovely. I get a little sibilance and vocal distortion on my turntable, but overall it's a great pressing. - Edited one month agoDoes anyone notice a "signal loss" during Cosbys response to Stills, "Yes, I've been eating them for six or seven weeks now, haven't got sick once" in the song "Wooden ships"?

Has anyone compared this to the MoFi 45 RPM version?- This Crystal Clear vinyl 75th Atlantic Edition is much better than the horrible, muddy Bernie Grundman 2009 remaster. I had to however, turn up the volume as it was mastered softer or lower in sound. It's not bad, but compared to my 1969 edition, with the Gold Record Award Sticker, it does not have as much dynamic range. The vocal harmonies stand out on the 1969 pressing in a way that this 2023 press does not. My 1994 Joe Gastwirt CD remaster is considered one of the best remastered CSN editions in either format. If I only had this 2023 Cris Bellman edition, I would be totally happy with it.
- Stunning pressing! Crystal clear vocals/high-end and the textured jacket is absolutely beautiful. Low-end is slightly less present and punchy when compared to my original US copy, but are we really listening to this album for the punchy low-end?
