- Never massively loved Lovers Rock, not as much as the other Reggae sub-genres anyway but great Lovers Rock is really just 80s Rocksteady. That’s the conclusion I tell myself anyway & this is an essential Reggae album, whichever your favourite kind of Reggae.
Never been a fan of this genre, until now!!
Really a great one, this one goes for the peaks and is sounding fantastic. The people more at home in Roots & Dub will find their pleasure. Great mastering (Andy Pearce, you're one of the few...) and cutting, a very worthwhile experience. And not (yet) too expensive...
