Angel Olsen – Big Time

Oof, this presser is a disaster. Courtesy of Jagjaguwar per usual. Every side regails the listener with noise and flaws (pops) at the most inopportune times. Both discs are warped pretty significantly. Artist needs to find better label ASAP.

Just had my first play through, it's not the quietest record in my collection but no obvious or jarring pops and clicks. Just a bit crackly/fizzy during the quiet bits, and there's quite a few of them on this album which is maybe where others are having issue. But it's also got an old-timey type sound and production which forgives it a bit for not being silent. YMMV.

Album is lovely to have on cassette. Sounds good too!

Huh, mine has no warp and was clean and quiet right out of the wrapper. Sounds fantastic.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones, my copy was not warped, plays well and sounds fantastic. it does skip a few times when played on my £120 deck, but plays fine on my other deck

Mine also sounds like garbagio. Listened to 6-7 new acquisitions over the weekend and this sounded the worst. Just lots of crackling and pops throughout.

Got mine from imusic and yes, both records are warped but play fine with no skips, sides c and d have some ugly background noises on the first minute of each side but after that they disappear.I reccomend though

Beautiful album. Jonathan Wilson produced and engineered. Sounds great. This seems to be the pressing to get. Not one complaint about my copy.

Just tried my third copy of this. All unplayable due to terrible warp. Are there any flat ones in the UK?

My copy has a pretty noisy D-side. Is there someone here that did hear several copy's. Is it worth getting another copy ?
