Coldplay – Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends

Ugh dude this would be such a cool double LP album hoping they press this on vinyl

Sounds okay, a lot of surface noise between the tracks due to some very heavy static that I haven't been able to get rid off even after washing it two times.

Great to have a piece of art signed by the producer himself

Does anyone have any idea what year this was released?

Like many, I feel this is a rather under-rated album from Coldplay. It is almost impossible to follow-up the run of classics these guys had with their first three albums, but they tried something a little new with this one, and for the most part, I think they succeeded. I think this is an overall good pressing, but I do understand some of the negative comments about muddiness. I think what those posters really mean is that the mix lacks a little punch and is overall pretty flat without great dynamics. I also feel like Side A is a bit better than Side B in terms of sonics. Still, I really enjoyed this record.

On some tracks, weirdly enough - the pressings lacks depth. It leaves you wanting more.

Yet on others such as "Cemeteries Of London, "Lost", "Viva La Vida"& "Violet Hill" - the production & the mastering shine.

Sounds pretty good overall. Side A is better sounding, if only because there's less content than Side B.

Mine's got a ton of pre-echo before anything loud in the music occurs.

Picked up at Barnes and Nobles. Solid Germany pressing with good sound,robust and quiet during the parts it needs to be. My copy has normal between song noise and quiet once the tracks kick in. Good copy and pressing.

At the moment, I have about 500 records in my collection. I have listened to 90% of them at least once. This is the worst sounding record out of all of them. So much noise, and so many skips. The album itself? I dig it. CDs nuts though.
