I’m having trouble finding a good variation of this album. Each release (on vinyl) that I’ve seen is either 2022, 2020, or 2012 for incredibly high prices. The comments say it’s all different mastering and plays very poorly as apposed to skipping, surface noise, and poor mastering.
Maybe I’ll go for rot gut instead- Not sure which edition I have. I I got it from Richards website and it's white vinyl with an autographed cover.
Sounds good for being independently recorded in 2005 transferred nicely to vinyl. One of my favorite albums of all time. - Despite the bare-bones packaging (single sleeve, no inserts, etc.), this release is really good. Great sound. My copy is a slightly marbled grey.
- For the people who purchased this bundled with the demos, did your copy ship in the same package as the demos? I received the demos on their own with no word of a second package coming. Thanks!
- My copy sounds great on first listen. Richard always seems to do a really nice job with his releases. I also love the random color I ended up with. Translucent purple with some blue mixed in pairs with the cover art really well.
- this is so beautifully mastered, i know that i always heard crunchy streaming versions but MY GOD this sounds good
- my second side def has some pitch issues and gets pretty noisy when it gets to Light on a Hill. Apparently this was a common issue for this pressing, as told by Richard and Erik Kang.

Mine plays very clean. Just compared to the 2020 clear with red splatter. I didn't get surface noise on either of the pressings. This one sounds like it comes from a different master. It has a few details that sound slightly different from the new one. I prefer the sound of the black. It is "brighter". Higher highs, more separation and I just think it sounds nicer. Both are great though. Awesome album.
