Songs talking about retards and rape which chase you like hellhounds. Sensational programming. It can only be Venetian Snares. Really diverse, challenging and sometimes just WTF? Well worth the admission price.

It's 2010 and it's time for the annual Venetian Snares album. Right off the bat I'm gonna say it's not quite there with some of his previous masterpieces but it's still good, damn good. I like how he manages make every album sound so different and yet so familiar. It is somewhat reminiscent to the Detrimentalist album with it's early hardcore and jungle influences but the sound to my ears is fuller and not quite as harsh. Some people might see this as lack of originality but it really doesn't seem that way to me. The album doesn't really have a stand-out song but if there is one, in my opinion it's Ultraviolent Junglist. Every song here is consistently good, none of them could be labeled as strictly bad, though a lot are somewhat bland but I don't really mind. Overall a really intensive yet fun album, not as serious as some earlier albums.
