Notes
The second album from Type O Negative, "The Origin of the Feces" was recorded in a studio but a fake audience track was added to give the illusion of a live album. The cover of the original release had an up close picture of an anus (reputed to belong to frontman Peter Steele). Subsequent reissues feature a different cover, a black and green portrait of 1493 painting "The Dance of Death". The reissue also features an additional track, a cover of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid".

Reviews
- Not convinced abt the sound quality, misses bass imo. Record 2 is louder than record 1. Actually, why does a 40min album need to be 2LP? Thought the costs of the base materials was “astronomical”, according to record companies charging price 10/20% YOY price increases post-pandemic..? So why the need to press 2 vinyls?

The gaps are indeed annoying, but the record otherwise sounds pretty good. Received it by error from Amazon, but they refunded me and told me I could keep it.- Looking for the country where it's made. My copy is made in The Netherlands. where does this edition is made ? the quality pictures is too bad I can't see what's written on the back.
- Sounds great, records shipped in poly-lined black paper inners outside of the gatefold pockets which is really nice. Having the tracklisting on the back twice is a little weird; I would have preferred just keeping the "ingredients" list as on the original LP and CD version, but that's pretty nit-picky to be honest. Also, the gatefold jacket was a hair on the tight side to actually insert the records, so it's a good thing this is only 140gm vinyl!
Now if they'd finally put out a standalone vinyl release for Life is Killing Me.... - Despite unfortunately mis-spelling George Marino as George Marion in the liner notes (quite a Typo Negative) this is a great pressing. Quiet and clean and the heavy gatefold cover was made with a lot of love. Highly recommended.
- Every single one of these vinyl releases Run Out Groove has done for Type O Negative have been amazing. Origin of the Feces has never sounded better. Truly a must have for any Type O fan.
- It needs to be asked. Has anyone peeled the sticker? Is it really scratch n sniff, and if so … how do you feel?
Also, after peeling the sticker, are you able to restick it to a plastic outer sleeve? - Great pressing. The 2LPs really leave room for great bass, but makes the tracklisting weird. The "bomb threat" and fade out at the end of Gravity was supposed to be the end of side 1 and reconvening with Pain on Side 2 on the original LP. Now it just fades out and back in with the next song on the same side. Weird, but worth it for Paranoid on Side 4.
