Echo & The Bunnymen – Echo & The Bunnymen

While I have no other copies of this to compare to, my ears thinks this sounds pretty good. Mix feels nicely balanced. Low end is tight. Mids and highs are clear and crisp. I'm happy with it.

Really surprised by the average vote on this . I found this pressing sat in a collectors shop recently and I think it sounds great. A small bit a static crackle as I listen to it at the moment but its 36 years old.

The US vinyl isn’t as clear in the midrange, and is a little harsher, as if not from as good a source. More open sounding than the US CD, but also slightly edgier.

The German pressing has more midrange clarity, as if from a higher quality source. Slightly fuller, wider and deeper sound. The original US CD also sounds very good, but this vinyl pressing retains more dynamics.

Some will say this record lacks the edge of their earlier releases, but it’s their finest hour in my estimation.

This album of Echo & the Bunnymen changed them from New wave to more acceptable New wave, with great songs on it!

Indie and Alternative Rock werent words I used in the 80s...those are 90s and 2000s words...what this is is awesome Post Mod that will stick into your mind. Yet another awesome band from Liverpool. At the time in the US they were totally underground and still are....and I like it that way..because they do what they want. This entire album is completely amazing and holds true even now. IMO.

This was the album I was listening to in College. I must say that I love the songs on this vinyl...and the band sounds great. It is avery different kind of album than the first 4. It is definitely easier to access. And IMO a great way to get into the band the "easy" way. Also ...the sound quality on this vinyl is very good indeed. Just awesome.

This self-titled last LP by the original E&TB lineup from ‘87 is BRILLIANT full stop! Songs are excellent well performed, shimmering cold grey delights that haunt your subconscious with their pristine understated melodicism & dark swirling fusion of gloomy post-punk Doors-inspired psychedelia. Driven by the majestic voice of Ian McCulloch, the brilliant guitar work of Will Sergeant & titanic drumming of Pete de Freitas [RIP], E&TB finalise their move from angular post-punk group to become cinematically baroque champions.

Why does this reissue not include the b-sides of the singles from the album: "Ship Of Fools" and "Rollercoaster"
