This shows the jazz and avant-garde edges Jimi was developing in ‘69 and ‘70. It becomes immediately obvious why Miles Davis was keen on getting some collaboration going and the jam with Larry Young here proves Jimi was becoming a true jazz improviser. Who knows where he would have gone in the 1970s, but it would surely have included this type of playing and collaboration. Top class material if you appreciate electric jazz rock/funk and improv. These ncb pressings were only produced for the skandinavian market, usually pressed in Germany, so Europe is heavily misleading,
which as always shows the limitation of the "EUROPE" "market" definition!
If anyone has any background information on Label Copies, please let me know. I'm interested in the back story behind these gems!

can anyone tell me, are tracks 1-5 from a needle drop?- Heard this one a lot and can't believe it was released so late in 1980! Is my favorite Hendrix album since I love his music but can't stand him singing, very well recommended to psychedelic rock fans, shame people in the 60s couldn't enjoy these gems unless you were hearing him live I guess...

Another Alan Douglas release. 1980. This was warm-ups, tests to check everything was working correctly. Recorded really well. The band are just jamming. If you love Hendrix, really worth having.
