yo, this sounds like turds! compressed garbarge - great album otherwise

heard a lot of belly-aching about other variants of this record, but happy to report this one sounds great

Dont know what others are so pissed about. Its absolutely quiet pressing with great dynamics and top mastering. Maybe most of you didnt listen digital version. It was meant to sound like this and nothing wrong with it. What an amazing record with amazing packaging!! No poly inside inner sleeve thats the only downer. I dont know when this stupid practice will be fixed for good.

Packaging:
Lovely 2 LP gatefold. The text on the cover is gloss printed and slightly raised, making it feel premium. The printing is quality too. Comes with poster.

Record(s):
Both are great quality pressings with only the smallest of rare crackles in the space between tracks. I'm sure this will go away with a second wet clean. The marbling of mine is stronger toward the green side of things, the blue is less prominent compared to the uploaded photo for this pressing.

The mastering however is a different story. I don't have another variation of this album to compare, so I'm unsure if this affects all pressings, but my copy has muffled vocals compared to the CD & streaming. It's nothing major, and won't stop me enjoying this record, but it is noticeable.

This is a rare and beautiful thing - a perfect pop record. Every song a winner.

My yellow copy sounds good. Flat and quiet. Enjoying it.

A great feel-good album. Elizabeth's sweet vocals carry the album, and her support is also excellent. The 24-bit 96k sounds awesome. Irresistible.

A good example of a good record that's completely wasted by some crappy vinyl mastering job. The sound is flat, boxy, the bass sound is too spongy and there's a lack of dynamics throughout. It's a bit of a pity as this does not give much justice to the energy that this band can display during its live sets.

Somehow the second disc of demos and acoustic versions sounds better overall than the main record. And I LOVE the album- I just think this pressing for whatever reason sounds a little lacking. Doesn't help my Disc 1 is off center by a tad, so I can't not hear it. Disc 2 is fine though. Could just be me.

Anyone else have issues with this pressing? Future Me and Jump Rope each sound fantastic, but this one isn't very dynamic and it sounds a little muddled in comparison. It showed up pretty warped, too, which is kind of a bummer. I love this record. Maybe a different copy or variant sounds better?
