The original UK test pressing with draft folded cover on grey card, nice sound as its the first of the stampers

my copy sounds like muffled crap. but the vinyl looks clean. anyone else have this issue with this pressing?

I've never heard this before (Sept. 2021) just played it to check the condition and wow I went on a journey, this is the sound that will take you there.

Is this released with a printed innersleeve like the other German 1972 releases?

The pictures uploaded do not correspond to the description - the desrciption says "Manufactured in England. A Product of United Artists Records Ltd"
the photos show a longer text which says "Manufactured in the UK by EMI Records Limited"

I was seeking information about United Artists Records on Wikipedia recently. EMI began distribution for United Artists in 1978, and then bought the label outright and stopped using the UA imprint during 1980, when they revived Liberty as an imprint. The reason I mention this here is that I would suspect that this pressing is not from 1972 as stated in the description, as it is clearly marked 'distributed by EMI' on the peremeter of the label and the rear of the sleeve. There is a 1980 pressing of Doremi Fasol Latido distributed by EMI without the inner sleeve, perhaps this pressing with the inner is from 1978 or 79?

We have Lemme singing and playing an acoustic song that he wrote.. 'The Watcher'.. 1st Lemme song on vinyl? His bass playing gives this Hawkwind line up their heaviest sound, which has not been excelled in my opinion..(with Ginger Baker's drumming at Stonehenge a possible contender).. 'Time we left this world today' is a psychedelic masterpiece, with the aforementioned bass doing the trick of driving it a bit further than others would..

Although it is not shown the cover is actually a gatefold thin textured card cover with the same inner gatefold pic as the japanese version. We know of no other gatefold editions which begs the question why weren't more issued-the UK having the special silver sleeve of course-but what about other countries?! Interestingly it is on LIBERTY with the same label design as the UK 2nd label issue. The disc was pressed for SA Liberty by US Liberty it would seem. The cover has the same DA/DA/72 in the same position as the UK and essentially it is the same graphics except that it has the Liberty logo to the right of the bottom 'diving' figure. The US disc pressings appears to be in line with other South Africa Liberty release (example The Ventures).
