If anyone has a spare cover for this, I'd be happy to purchase it.

I obtained this (and the similar copy of 'Faust' https://www.discogs.com/release/23656610-Faust-So-Far) from an old friend who worked at Recommended Records briefly and whose first job was to place the pressings of the first two Faust re-issues in their respective sleeves.. He came across these anomalies and asked about them and was told they were the test pressings so don't put those in the sleeves! At the end of the day he was told he could have copies for himself and he chose these ones.. He told me they were the only copies of this kind that he encountered, so I would really like to know if anyone knows of any other copies out there, or indeed any other information about them. I've always been puzzled as to why the older labels were seemingly deliberately placed with the printed information on display rather than reversed as would be the normal practice on white label pressings.. All highly unusual and to think they could have easily ended up inside the sleeves and sent out to some unsuspecting buyer along with the standard copies or the record!

does anyone know the difference between this version and the one attached below? these listings look identical but the barcode sticker on my copy doesn’t look like that of the other one, not sure if that counts tho.

My copy has clear/brown translucent vinyl w the cover image looking sorta burned into it. Anyone know about this press?

This drug is as potent as it must have been when created. I truly just now am emerging from a, what, fourty minutes only?, trip that certainly expanded my hearing.
How did they create these sounds?
How divinely precise is the studio work!
Trust me, I have heard quite some mindboggling stuff in this direction, but this makes you want to relax to side three of the Tago Mago ... Absolutely brilliant.

Could be a good idea to take this out of the vinyl sleeve. My vinyl plays fine but looks a bit patchy. Could it be vinyl burn?

More a curio than a record to listen to. That's my take on this significant recording by Faust. The Lilith re-master and pressing is fine and the quality of the clear X-ray sleeve is authentic, but it doesn't reward repeated playing.
Sure this 1971 outing may have been a milestone in the development of the innovative Krautrock genre, however it doesn't stand the test of time in the way the contemporaneous records of Can, Cluster, Kraftwerk and Neu! have.
Too often I fall into the trap of seeking out records people rave about as being groundbreaking to find I only will ever play them a couple of times... Ornette Coleman's "Free Jazz", Miles Davis' "Bitches Brew", Soft Machine's 1970 double "Third", Captain Beefheart's "Trout Mask Replica". This is another of those records I've sought out only to be disappointed.

how does this version sound? I've heard that keeping it in the clear sleeve will discolor the record, but does it affect the sound quality?
