Gonzales – Solo Piano

Any comment on the quality of the audio here? Is there surface noise like some of the other issues of this record? Thanks!

Shame about all the noise on this pressing - such a great performance warrants more care and attention to the final product.

Crackling and noise all the time. Worst pressing I’ve ever bought. Unbelievable that something like this ends up on the market...

Re-iterating what sounds_on_wax has said. Extremely quiet pressing, left channel has insane noise floor issue for sure.

Really disappointed... The surface noise makes this fantastic album almost unlistenable.
Still a big fan of chilly G though!

Worst pressing in my entire record collection. Sounds absolutely terrible. So much noise that you can barley make out the piano keys being pressed. I end up listening to the album on Spotify over this. I thought it was just my copy but apparently this release has been having issues on vinyl.

The pressing is bad. Lot of high sounds. The cd is definitively better for this masterpiece ! The same for the 2010 No Format LP edition (may be a little less..)

Absolutely abysmal pressing. My copy is crackly as hell and the piano strokes sound incredibly bland and muffled. It would be unlistenable if the music wasn't so good. Do avoid.

Just like solo piano ii, this sounds like crap. Noisy! I basically turn down the treble all the way to be able to enjoy it. Just listen to the mp3/streaming.

worst-sounding lp in my collection. maybe my copy is a dud. but it could be the actual pressing. sad because the music is glorious.
