Show All 15 Reviews- Since this is running on 33 I really cant see why the bbc did not include the first peel session, which is very similar in sound and feel. Would have been perfect to have the first session - side A, second - side B, just like the reissue from 1990, which has become quite pricey. An intentional waste of ressources to make more money?

This is an excellent cd. If you want to hear New Order live and early...this is great. Is this an audiophile release...no...thank goodness...its raw dark and brooding..and no turn the heater on is not a New Order song....but it is done in their way..."rhythmic dark and etc" This cd was very difficult to obtain when it came out..especially in the US. And I still own it and love it. Very very cool indeed.referencing The Peel Sessions (12", 45 RPM, EP) SFPS 001
Happy to have been alive when this came out, even more that it was available in small town "germermany",happiest squaddie brat on the block!- This entry states limited to 2000 copies; is this in Europe, or worldwide? RSD.com for US states 7500 copies.
- Very happy to buy it today. Been having NO phase lately and was suprised how different and interesting this version sound. Intact sound quality too. Agree that 5-8-6 is just amazing
- Edited one year agoWonderful reissue. Whisper quiet vinyl with nice, beefy bottom end.
The addition of the first session would have made for a top-shelf edition, but the fact that it came out at all is a blessing to those that can't find an OP. This version of 5-8-6 is worth the price of admission alone.
